PATH is home to the Malaria Control and Elimination Partnership in Africa (MACEPA) which works closely with National Malaria Control programs in Africa to strengthen data systems and data use to better inform strategies and target resources to reduce burden. Key components of this work are to generate evidence on novel and existing malaria tools to guide decision-makers, and to work with donors to ensure the resources needed to implement these interventions are available.
PATH is currently recruiting a Senior Program Officer, SME to support its growing malaria portfolio in CAR. The Senior Program Officer will support the monitoring and evaluation of activities to strengthen country health information systems. The successful candidate will also support the project team and the Ministry of Health to set up monitoring, evaluation and learning systems and processes including monitoring of health system performance, with a focus on malaria. S/he will collaborate with other key in-country partners to support quality assurance activities and compile malaria-related data.
The position requires a deep understanding of successful health surveillance and M&E systems, health analytics skills, data quality improvement processes, digital health systems, database management skills, and report writing abilities. The role will be reporting to the Senior Technical Program Manager in CAR.
